With the recipe from our Zeljka Dukic, who expertly takes care of the building administration in everyday life, you will get through the cold season well.
You will need
500 g minced meat mixed
500 g sauerkraut
250 ml tomato juice
200 g smoked pork, smoked pork loin, sausage, ribs, etc.
150 g smoked pork bacon, diced
150 g cooked rice
2 cloves of garlic, finely diced
2 tsp delicatessen peppers
2 eggs
1 onion, finely diced
1 white cabbage soured
grated nutmeg
oil
And this is how it's made:
Note: Whole soured cabbage (also known as sarma) is available in Turkish supermarkets. Fry the onion in the oil until translucent. Add the minced meat, bacon and rice. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic and nutmeg. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
In the meantime, remove the outer leaves from the cabbage and spread out on the work surface. Mix the eggs into the meat mixture. Place 1-2 tbsp of filling on each cabbage leaf, fold the edges right and left and roll up the cabbage rolls.
Place a layer of sauerkraut in a large pan. Place the cabbage rolls seam side down. Add another layer of sauerkraut and layer in the smoked meat. Finish with a layer of sauerkraut, pour in the tomato juice, cover and simmer over a medium heat for 2 hours. If necessary, add a little water from time to time.
We wish you “en Guete”!
